Good for you! Here I’ll tell you about the 14 best tools for blogging I use. You may have used some of them, you may have never heard some others, but they’re all awesome, so check them out. All of them are either free or have free trials.

1. Jaaxy

The first thing you should do before starting to write a post is to find a great keyword. That’s why the first tool I’ll talk to you about is Jaaxy, an awesome keyword tool I’ve used for the past year.

It has a free trial so take advantage of it.

2. Grammarly

I’m pretty sure you’ve known for a while about Grammarly even before starting your blog. Grammarly is an excellent tool for grammar and spelling check and not only for bloggers. There is a free version you can use and a premium one for advanced checking, so use the one the fits your needs.

3. Canva

Canva is a free online tool you can use to create your own images. It has lots of ready templates and images to make anything you want. For example:

• Images for Posts
• Infographics
• Banners
• Social Media
• Book Covers
• Business Cards
• Logos
• Ads
• etc.

4. Animaker

Animaker is an online tool for making animation videos. It’s easy to learn and one of the best in the market now. You can check a video I’ve made with it on my About Me page.

Animaker Voice

Animaker Voice is one of the features you need if you don’t want your own voice on the videos you make. It’s a text-to-speech program you can use to create the voice over for your videos. With the free version, you get 5 free downloads per month, so take advantage of it, too.

5. Biteable

Biteable is another great animated video maker. You can use it for free and I recommend it a lot, especially for beginners. Making your first video is simple and very fast.

6. Trello

Planning is everything. That’s why you should start using a planning tool.

Trello is an online tool you can use for planning your workflow. You can share your boards with others, friends or coworkers. It’s great for teams, but also for personal use.

7. Bubbl.us

Bubbl.us is a great tool for mind mapping. Create the outline of your posts there so that you can see everything at once. It has a very easy user interface so you’ll enjoy working with it!

8. Calmly Writer

Calmly Writer is a free online tool you can use when you want to write without distractions. It’s a great way to focus on writing your posts. Especially when you don’t feel like it and you find any way possible to get distracted from what you have to do now.

It comes with an easy-to-use interface. You can choose:

• Dark/Light Mode
• Text width
• Font
• Font-size
• Opendyslexic Mode

With these choices, you can customise your writing to be just the way you want it, so it’ll be easier for you to write.

9. Google Search Console

Google Search Console is a tool for every blogger who wants to get ranked on Google – which is pretty much everyone. Who wouldn’t want to get ranked on the first page on Google?

There are a lot of features on the Search Console, but the ones that you definitely want to use as a new blogger is two:

Sitemap

A sitemap is what exactly the name implies; a map of your site. It includes every URL of your site.

The first thing you should do is submitting your sitemap. It’ll be easier for Google to rank your posts if they have your sitemap because they’ll know about your posts sooner.

URL Inspection

But what if they could learn about them even sooner? Wouldn’t that be great? So, every time you publish a post, make sure to submit the URL to the Search Console for indexing.

10. Bing Webmasters Tools

Bing Webmaster Tools are for Bing & Yahoo what Search Console is for Google. So:

• When you finish your first post, submit your sitemap.
• After publishing each post, submit the post URL.

This way, your posts will get ranked faster.

11. Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a free online tool created by Google. You can use it to find ways to increase the traffic on your site.

For example, checking out how long people stay on a page and when they leave can help you determine why they leave. If you know why, you can find a way to make them stay longer on your site.

12. Wealthy Affiliate

Wealthy Affiliate is an online platform that has training on internet and affiliate marketing. If you’re interested in learning about:

• building a site/starting a business
• increasing the traffic to your site
• monetising it
• finding a community that helps each other

Have you heard about Quora? Hopefully, yes. But have you used it?

Quora is a Q&A forum you can go to find any kind of answers. So why not use it to promote your blog?

Make sure to be helpful and thorough in your answers. Don’t spam with your links but if possible, insert one once in a while. Don’t forget to put your site URL on your profile, though. So if someone likes your answers and goes to your profile, they can find your blog easily.

14. Social Media

And last but not least, social media. Use social media as a tool not only to promote your blog and get more traffic but also as a way to

• engage with your readers
• ask their opinion
• run contests
• find out what your readers prefer
• connect with people who are leaders in your industry
